Air-water humidifiers
Adiabatic humidifying system of the Carel company has been designed to humidify large industrial rooms and air-conditioning units.
The system uses compressed air and mains or demineralised water to produce highly atomised suspension that transforms into vapour by taking energy directly from the atmosphere. Due to that, these humidifiers are particularly energy-efficient (only 70W in order to spray 1l/h water) and practical in operation.
Electronic or microprocessor control ensures fully automatic operation of the humidifying system. Additionally, spray nozzles made of stainless steel AISI316 have an automatic cleaning system that ensures adequate level of hygiene and reliability.
Mc humidifier as any other products of the Carel company can be connected to centralised supervision and monitoring systems.
Basic components
The control panel regulates flow in the range of 60 or 230 l/h. It is available in two versions – for normal and demineralised water – and with proportional control used in room or duct humidifying.
Self-cleaning atomisers made of stainless steel AISI316, available in five size options and water atomising capacity from 2.7 to 10 l/h.
Low humidifying cost
Special shape of the spray nozzle makes it possible to control circulation of water atomised into droplets of 5-8 microns, at minimum power consumption of approx. 70 W per 1l/h of atomised water.
Automatic cleaning
Total elimination of condensation, reduced atomiser dimensions and microprocessor control ensure high quality operation even in very small rooms. Additionally, a special and automatic system of mechanical spray nozzle self-cleaning minimises maintenance activities and ensures flawless operation in a number of applications.
Manifolds
A broad range of elements offered by the mc humidifying system includes manifolds of various length, mounted together with nozzles and installed directly in ducts or in air-conditioning units.
Application
The ms humidifying system is used in general-purpose air conditioning and in the following branches of industry: textile, wood processing, paper and pulp, tobacco, leather and at printing houses. The total discharge of water when the device is not in operation and elimination of vessels prevents development of bacteria and algae, which makes the system particularly useful for air-conditioning units. In this case, aside from regulation of discharged water, acceptable outlet air humidity is measured to prevent condensation on external walls of the device. The mc humidifying system is also very useful in cooling applications, where room temperatures are above zero, as well as in preservation, ripening and seasoning of foodstuffs.
Special application of mc humidifiers
Mc humidifiers used for very aggressive, demineralised water prevent bacteria and deposition of minerals that normally occur in water, which makes the device useful in special applications such as humidifying of clean rooms, hospitals and special air-conditioning systems.
Elimination of problems with Legionella bacteria
Due to the following features, Cartel devices represent the safest humidifying system:
- atomised water comes from drinking water mains that is becteriologically clean;
- compressed air used for water mist generation comes from the compressing cycle in which high temperatures guarantee elimination of bacteria.
Additionally, in the water atomising mc system:
- atomised, but unevaporated water is not recirculated but removed;
- at the end of each humidifying cycle, the system empties spray nozzles by blowing clean and compressed air through them that totally dries all elements being in contact with water, thus preventing conditions in which microorganisms can survive.
